I Love You <\/span><\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>>Whether or not the dubious and persistent stereotype about men and their grills has any veracity is a topic oft debated.\u00a0 It&#8217;s been discussed anecdotally and it&#8217;s been analyzed scientifically.\u00a0 In a 2010 article for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/2010\/07\/01\/grilling-men-women-barbecue-forbes-woman-time-cooking.html#500ece52bad6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Forbes<\/strong><\/a>, Meghan Casserly explained why men love grilling: &#8220;<em>Grilling is sort of dangerous (there\u2019s fire!), it lets dudes hang out together while also providing some sort of neutral entertainment (getting to watch one guy do stuff and possibly also criticizing him while he does it), and requires minimal cleaning (self-explanatory)<\/em>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>>In his 1993 essay \u201cWhy Do Men Barbecue?,\u201d an article more about gender roles than about meat, anthropologist Richard Shweder expounded on the origins of male and female spaces in different cultures.\u00a0 He posited that contemporary men and women throughout urban America don&#8217;t consider themselves tied to traditional gender roles.\u00a0 So, where the men among our troglodytic ancestors brought home the mastadon for women to prepare (and bring them a beer or six), today&#8217;s men are just as likely to prepare the daily bread with women just as likely being the providers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_54742\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-54742\" style=\"width: 331px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/b4385483.smushcdn.com\/4385483\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/SteamQ02.gif?lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-54742 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 331px; is an acronym for &#8220;Slap (or Smoke) Them Extremely Awesome Ribs.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0 Manuel slaps the extremely awesome <em><strong>baby back ribs<\/strong><\/em> with a dry rub he concocted before smoking them low-and-slow over oak and mesquite.\u00a0 The combination of those woods creates an enticing aroma which will have your mouth watering the second that aroma hits your nostrils.\u00a0 He applies a strawberry glaze that imparts sweet (but not overly sweet) and spicy notes that render the ribs addictively, vegan-converting delicious.\u00a0 These are some of the very best baby back ribs we&#8217;ve had in the Land of Enchantment.\u00a0 These are not &#8220;fall off the bone&#8221; ribs, an indication ribs are overdone.\u00a0 They&#8217;ve got just a little bit of &#8220;give&#8221; to them, signifying a perfect texture.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_54743\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-54743\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/b4385483.smushcdn.com\/4385483\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/SteamQ03.gif?lossy=2&strip=1&webp=1\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-54743 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 750px;
