but it reminded us of a caferia.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_65402\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65402\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65402 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 750px; \u00a0 If you don&#8217;t want to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wq8kS3ja8uQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>watch the Joe&#8217;s segment<\/strong><\/a> again, here are other noteable gems from the spike-coiffed chef: \u00a0&#8220;<em>At this joint, they&#8217;ve got their own take on outside the box<\/em>.&#8221; \u00a0He described Joe&#8217;s barbecue chicken grilled pizza as &#8220;<em>actually a cobb salad on top of a pizza skin<\/em>&#8221; and called it a &#8220;<em>pizza chain killer<\/em>.&#8221; \u00a0There was more, but you get the point.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_65403\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65403\" style=\"width: 525px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65403 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 525px; starters. \u00a0Most noteably were the <em><strong>onion rings<\/strong><\/em> (fresh-cut, hand-breaded in rosemary dill panko served with ranch dressing). \u00a0 The idea that onion rings might be redolent with the lip-pursing flavor of dill pickles (from cucumbers grown on the farm?) was irresistible. \u00a0Your first impression of the onion rings is that they&#8217;re not quite golden, but tinged with notes of green and red. \u00a0Then you&#8217;ll discover they&#8217;re rather heavily breaded&#8211;to the detriment of the onions themselves. \u00a0Instead of sweet onion, the emphasis was on heavy breading.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_65405\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65405\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65405 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 750px; unless otherwise requested. \u00a0Joe&#8217;s can prepare your burger to any exacting specification. \u00a0 Nestled in a sweet bun, only more blue cheese and more bacon could have made this burger any better. \u00a0Oh, and get rid of that onion ring!<\/p>\n<p>My Kim ordered the <em><strong>BBQ Sampler plate<\/strong><\/em> (pulled pork, three ribs, two sauce-dipped chicken tenders) with a side of French fries though she couldn&#8217;t even finish half of it. \u00a0A light hint of smoke and lots of sauce defined this barbecue. \u00a0Not that it was bad. \u00a0If Joe&#8217;s wanted to it could serve barbecue exclusively. \u00a0Especially good were the pork ribs. \u00a0Though messy and dripping with sauce, they&#8217;re meaty and tender. \u00a0My Kim has an affinity for pulled pork. \u00a0Joe&#8217;s seemed rather densely &#8220;packed.&#8221; \u00a0We prefer the tendrils of porcine perfection to be more distinct, not blobby. \u00a0Fries were out-of-a-bag quality.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_65406\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-65406\" style=\"width: 750px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-65406 lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 750px;
