Most importantly, we want to become the choice for you and your family when you\u2019re in the mood for authentically delicious Greek cuisine<\/em>.&#8221;\u00a0 With respect to the restaurant&#8217;s food, the website declares &#8220;<em>The food served in our casual atmosphere is designed for foodies with discerning palates. We focus on fresh ingredients, spice blends sourced directly from the Mediterranean and sauces and marinades made in-house. To keep our ingredients authentic, we purchased an Eastern European food distributor that was in danger of closing during the pandemic. Our dishes are prepared fresh. In revenge the gods send perpetual hunger to visit Erysichthon. It is one of the oldest &#8220;fast food&#8221; dishes in Greek cuisine, appearing in the works of Aristotle and Aristophanes.\u00a0 Great Greek offers souvlaki of several types: grilled chicken, grilled steak, <em><strong>Australian lamb<\/strong><\/em> and garlic shrimp.\u00a0 The Australian lamb, prepared at just a shade (with more than a hint of pink) under medium, is luscious.\u00a0 It&#8217;s very lean but somehow manages to remain moist, tender and juicy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_69525\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-69525\" style=\"width: 600px\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Australian Lamb Souvlaki with Feta Fries<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Australian lamb is typically grass-fed which imbues it with a more pronounced flavor devoid of the &#8220;gaminess&#8221; for which lamb of interior quality is known.\u00a0 Great Greek&#8217;s Australian lamb souvalki plate includes several wedges of pita bread and your choice of sides (rice pilaf, French fries, feta fries, side salad, lemon potatoes).\u00a0 The feta fries are rather desiccated and instead of being sprinked generously with feta, the fries are\u00a0 blanketed\u00a0 with melted feta (and feta does not melt well, losing flavor in the process).\u00a0 My next side will be lemon potatoes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>14 February 2025<\/strong>:\u00a0 The delightful Morgain loves cheesecake as much as I love cheeseburgers (with green chile, of course).\u00a0 Since Great Greek doesn&#8217;t offer cheesecake, she ordered the <em><strong>baklava ice cream<\/strong><\/em> (crushed baklava&#8211;layers of philo dough, walnuts and honey syrup&#8211;in vanilla ice cream topped with honey.\u00a0 \u00a0It&#8217;s an idea whose time has come though Morgain would probably have preferred baklava cheesecake.\u00a0 Predictably, Morgain and The Dude began a mutual admiration society.\u00a0 Morgain even comparing our debonnaire dachshund&#8217;s eyes to those of Pedro Pascal (I
