Red and Green: New Mexico’s Food Scene is On Fire – August, 2026

NO MICHELIN STARS OVER NEW MEXICO:  If Michelin judges were driving on Michelin tires while scouting the Land of Enchantment’s restaurants, those tires must have been flat.  How else can you explain the Land of Enchantment (and Arizona, too) being shut and not receiving even one Michelin star?  None! Zero!  Zip!  Zilch!  The   inaugural “MICHELIN Guide for the American Southwest” (released in August 2026) did introduce local recommendations.  In Santa Fe, those “recommended restaurants” (serving good, high-quality food using fresh ingredients, though it has not received a formal star or Bib Gourmand award.) include Arroyo Vino, Izanami and Joseph’s Pub.  From…
