Hola! I'm Gil Garduņo
and if you're reading this, you either stumbled across this site
accidentally or as a result of my duplicitous registering of the word
"sex," the most frequently searched word on Web search
engines. Actually, since I didn't register the word
"sex" with any search engine, you're probably here because
you're a family member who feels obligated to read this prosaic drivel
or a friend trying to discern whether my use of polysyllabic words is
either panegyric, vituperative or both. In either case, bienvenido.
Welcome!
Although
"thrilling" is not an adjective usually ascribed to me,
"thrill" does rhyme with "Gil" so I'm exercising
some literary license here. Unlike many self-titled Web sites in
which self-aggrandizing egotists pay lionizing tribute to themselves,
this is not an "I love me" page...not that I'm too modest for
that.
So why
create a Web site? The subject matter I attempt feebly to document
here has already been captured in colorful prose, creative metaphors,
and enrapturing tales by writers far superior to me. Their words,
however, are not mine, albeit the sentimentality may be. Although
I'm not a raconteur of talent or repute, this Web site is MY humble
effort to put into words what I love most about things I
love.

New Mexico, whose
surreal azure skies graduate in depth of color the higher above
the horizon you look; whose well-deserved sobriquet, the
"Land of Enchantment" falls short in describing the
preternatural spell this state casts upon visitors with receptive
souls. |

Dogs--living proof
that unconditional love and loyalty abound in this cold, cynical
world; four-legged affirmation that God loves us by deeming us
worthy enough to take care of his most trusting and faithful
creation. |

The United Kingdom--a
mystical land of history and lore to which I return often, if only
in my dreams. |
